So here you are. Trying to find cheap laptops under $300 for your gaming needs. Playing high end current games in this budget is out of the question. But yes if you are planning to play old or online games then I have prepared the list below which will cost you less than $300 to buy. I have tried my best to keep this list strictly under 300$ range.

But first let’s understand what it takes to play games on the laptop. Is it just RAM or CPU or GPU?

CPU: It is one of the most important part in keeping your laptop performance against the games. CU comes in multiple cores such as single, double, quad etc, to keep parallel processing of the data. Current generation high end CPUs are Intel I5, I7, I7 11th generation, Ryzen 9 etc.

RAM: It comes next to CPU. It keeps the data into frequently accessed memory and this has to be very fast. More RAM means more performance. Usually to play any kind of games at least 4GB RAM is required now a days.

GPU: It is graphical processing unit. As the name implies, it is for rendering the graphics of the game. Many laptops doesn’t have the GPU and it is on the CPU to do this work. Multiple laptops have GPU integrated within the CPU. Best case is dedicated GPU on the laptop. Nvidia and AMD are the current market players in this area.
